Child and Teen Model Portfolio

A first professional portfolio for children and teens who are new to modelling. Agency ready images, gentle direction, and honest advice for parents finding their way through the industry.

Starting out, done properly

Whether your child has just been signed, you're about to approach an agency, or you simply want to see if they enjoy being in front of a camera, a first portfolio shoot is a big moment. I've helped plenty of families through it, and my aim is that your child leaves feeling proud of themselves, with a set of images that show agencies exactly who they are.

What an portfolio session includes

We'll plan the session together beforehand. I'll ask about your child's personality, any agency requirements, and the kind of work you're hoping for, then I'll send styling advice so outfits are sorted well before the day. On the day we'll create a mix of clean digitals, natural portraits and a few styled, magazine style images that show your child can carry a look and take direction, which is what casting directors want to see.

Sessions last around 3 hours with unlimited outfit changes. You'll receive 8 fully retouched images, all sized and ready to send to agencies.

Not signed yet? That's fine

Quite a few families come to me before they've approached anyone. If that's you, you're welcome to book a session simply to find out whether your child enjoys it. If they do, you'll have a strong set of images to send with your application. If they don't, you'll still have lovely photographs and a clear answer, with no pressure from me either way.

Working with children on set

I'm a mum of four, so I know children don't perform on demand. The studio is calm, there's only ever one family here, and I give clear, kind direction that helps children find natural poses rather than forced ones. Shy children warm up. Confident children get channelled. Teens get treated like the young adults they are.

These sessions are suitable for:

  • Children and teens who've recently been signed and need a first portfolio
  • Families preparing an agency application
  • Parents who want to find out whether modelling suits their child before committing

Studio & getting here

The studio is in Buckinghamshire, with free parking right outside. From London, trains run from Euston to Bletchley and Milton Keynes in around 35 to 40 minutes, then it's a 15 minute taxi ride to the studio. Families come to me from Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Bedford, Northampton, Hertfordshire and London.
